Do you need a prescription?
We require a prescription by law for all products marked as “MEDICINE” or “PRESCRIPTION ONLY” in the product page.
A prescription is a written order from a licensed veterinarian for a specific medication or treatment that your pet needs. It includes important details such as the name of the drug, dosage, and instructions on how to administer it.
Prescriptions are required for certain medications to ensure your pet receives the correct treatment based on their health condition. In our online vet pharmacy, you can easily upload your pet’s prescription during checkout, and we’ll verify it before processing your order. Always consult your vet for any questions regarding your pet’s prescription needs.
1. From Your Veterinarian: After a consultation, your vet can provide a written prescription for your pet’s medication. You can either request a paper copy or have them send it directly to our pharmacy. This prescription must contain your vet’s clinic particulars (original vet clinic stamp/letterhead).
2. Through Our Online E-Prescription Service: If you don’t have a current prescription, you can use our online vet consultation service. After reviewing your pet’s medical history and condition, one of our licensed veterinarians can provide an e-prescription, which will be automatically applied to your order.
A prescription is required for certain pet medications to ensure the safety and well-being of your pet. Prescription medications are often stronger or more specific than over-the-counter options, and improper use could lead to harmful side effects or ineffective treatment.
By requiring a prescription, we ensure that your pet receives the right medication, dosage, and instructions based on their health condition as diagnosed by a licensed veterinarian. This process helps prevent misuse and guarantees that your pet gets the most appropriate and safe treatment.
